Sequel to Small Pleasures?

A friend asked if I was going to write a sequel to Small Pleasures. I said no. Today I received an email from someone who recently read the novel asking the same question. My reply: I don't know if I can or should. Honestly, I don't believe that I have the STRENGTH to write a sequel, plus the characters aren't speaking to me at the moment, they aren't telling me anything, sharing any news to write.
